Every athlete’s path is different. My work is rooted in understanding each student, their goals, their strengths, and the environment where they will truly thrive. I combine firsthand knowledge of ski racing with a thoughtful, individualized admissions strategy designed to support both performance and long-term fit.

“To ensure each family receives highly personalized attention, I intentionally work with a limited number of students each year.”

Background & Experience

As a former Division I ski racer at Bates College, I understand firsthand the demands of balancing rigorous academics with elite athletic training. That experience continues to shape my work and perspective today.

I earned my degree in Psychology from Bates College and later completed a Master’s degree in Education at the University of Utah. I have spent my career in education, working in both public and private schools as a middle school math and science teacher and as a college counselor.

My experience supporting elite student-athletes at Burke Mountain Academy, Proctor Academy, and now at Vail Ski and Snowboard Academy has uniquely prepared me to guide ski racers and their families through the college search and recruiting process.

Recruiting Insight

Over the past decade, I have developed strong and trusted relationships with NCAA ski racing coaches. This perspective allows me to offer families honest, informed guidance on recruiting expectations, timelines, and program fit, while helping athletes present themselves thoughtfully and effectively.

Understanding both the admissions landscape and the realities of collegiate athletics enables me to help families navigate decisions with clarity and confidence.

Specialization

I specialize in supporting ski racers pursuing NCAA Division I opportunities while helping students identify colleges where they can thrive academically, athletically, and personally.

I also work with student-athletes whose goals extend beyond Division I athletics, including those pursuing a more balanced college experience or choosing not to compete at the highest level.

Additionally, I support student-athletes across disciplines whose journeys require thoughtful planning, strategic positioning, and authentic narrative development.

My goal is to make the process feel clear, strategic, and empowering for both athletes and their families.

Advising Philosophy

My Approach

I believe successful outcomes are built on thoughtful preparation, honest assessment, and strong relationships. Because I work with only a small number of families each year, my advising is highly personalized, hands-on, and fully tailored to each student.

Highly Individualized

Never one-size-fits-all. Every recommendation, college list, and application strategy is carefully tailored to the individual athlete.

Strategic & Honest

Rooted in clear facts, open communication, and realistic expectations—ensuring no surprises along the journey.

Relationship Centered

Building trust with both families and coaches, acting as a steady and responsive partner in an emotional process.

Wholistically Balanced

Creating harmony across academic requirements, athletic aspirations, and deeply personal institutional fit.

Beyond Admissions

"College decisions shape more than the next four years. They influence confidence, growth, identity, and opportunity."

My commitment extends beyond applications and deadlines. I serve as a steady, experienced partner throughout a process that is often emotional, complex, and deeply personal.
